There’s no controvercy that almost every student want holidays, but opinions on how long the holiday should be varies. 

I prefer longer holiday,and here’s my reasons. Fisrtly ,after a long semester, I really need a period of time to relax ,doing whatever I want to. Secondly , I need time to spend with my family for being apart from them for such a long time . And finally, I’d like to do some part time jobs and earn for my holiday trips. For some students, they have to intern in some companies for gaining working experience.

But there are people who don’t like holiday to be very long. Because after a long time after school ,students may forget what they have learned during the last semester, and this makes it difficult to begin the new semester. 

Just as it says that every coin has two sides,long holiday is good for somepeople but not all. But what’s the most important for us is to make full use of the time .
