Some friends asked me why I choose guangzhou to study,because Guangzhou is so far from my northen hometown that It takes about 20 hours to get here.And it  is much hotter and more sultry here than that of north.That’s true.The lengthy journey and humid weather here are a bit hard,even torture for me to tolerate.In spite of that,There do exist some reasons attracting me to choose this city.

First of all,taking English as my major led me to language school.I would like to study in Beijing .But my grade of examinations to universities didnt allow me get admitted to the top two universities,which are respectively in Beijing and Shanghai.So at last,I come here,the third best one for language studing in the mainland.

Another essential reason is that Guangzhou is a developed developed city,so there are more chances to communicate with foreigners  in English and easier to find jobs here after graduation  .

   Besides,Guangzhou is a mysterious city in my memory.As a significant place,its name keeps on appearing in our historic textbooks.Many historic and transformational events had happened here thus I can visit some historical remains to step some great men’s trace.

Fifth,if I choose a city near my hometown,I will go back home very often.Now I just go back home on summer and winter vocation.Long distance and low frequency going back make me feel alone but It is helpful to make me get independent quickly.

I had watched some excellent Cantonese movies, so I like Cantonese,the second language in China .It is convenient to learn on account that most Cantonese people can speak it.

  And compared with other cities,with less air-pollution Guangzhou has a better envionment to live in.

Last,Guangzhou stands near to Macao and Hangkang,which I would like to have a visit to.

My grade,environment here,development,mystery, and geographical position...those elements consist of reasons why I come to Guangzhou to study.
