     JingKe,an assassin in the Warring States Period,was killed by the ruler of Qin State in 227 BC.

     During his lifetime,he took great interests and enjoyment in reading and fencing,showed much generosity and righteousness to friends and expressed bravery and fearlessness to authority.JingKe was an alcoholic,which was the reason why he was regarded as such a kind of people who could die for alcohol.

     He once intended to work for the ruler of Wei State but failed.Then he came to the State of Yan,serving for and making friends with the ruler. But soon after that,there came the extremely unpleasant news that Qin State determined to invade Yan State.In order to protect the country,JingKe was sent to Qin as the Yan's ambassador with the purpose of assassinating Qin's ruler,pretending to surrender.Without the help of his friend and the good co-ordination of his teammate,he failed disastrously,being killed cruelly.

     In short,JingKe sacrificed for his country.He was respected, rhapsodized and remembered by posterity.
