Since latest 200 years evidences the fast development of our technology and science, more and more people come to believe that man can triumph over nature.

These big words seem to be reliable. Nowadays, weather can be accurately predicted in the coming days so that people can schedule their outdoor activities more convenience. Advanced technology are applied to the oil factories to produce more fuel, which is benefit to our daily lives. What’s more, man not only cut quantities of trees for paper producing, but also plant it in order to get sand storm away and create more beautiful environment. Everything goes better.

However, at the same time, we see many tragedies when facing our nature. Sichuan  big earthquake has made a large death toll of 40,000. The Indonesian tsunami destroyed millions of people’s houses and dreams. At that time, our technology was not strong enough to avoid these tragedies, so do today. I wonder whether man can surely triumph over nature? Maybe, we should treat it as our friend instead of our enemy.
