Generally speaking, most of the people may think that money should be an important part of the work. And they might think that only by offering the employer high salary can they hire the talent people. However, I don’t think so. I think the emotion is the most important motivation in working harder.
Just as career analyst Dan Pink said that the larger the monetary reward, the poorer the performance-----money doesn’t motivate us, at all, instead emotions do. Even though money is an important element for us to accept a job, we should realize that we will spend most of our time on it. What terrible it is if we don’t enjoy the job and just do it like a machine. However, if we love the job and enjoy the working time, it will be great happiness. And emotions play a leading role in how to succeed in our work because they influence how much you try.
I think the emotion includes the sense of satisfaction, achievement, and acceptation and the reason why emotion motivate us to work hard are as following. First of all is the autonomy, we sincerely want to direct our won life. When we think abut it, we will desire to do something chanlangble and interesting instead of the normal way. Secondly, we want to be better. Therefore, we will try to do more for finding out a better ourselves. Finally is the aim, it means the desire to do someting meaningful in the world. If we really achieve these, we will can balance our inner and the work life. By this way, we can feel satisfy and successful when working, which is good for you to make some achievements. If you get the achievement, you might be admited by your colleagues or boss. Therefore, there’s no doubt that you will be more motivative for doing your job.
However, nothing is perfect. We should also realize that only the positive eomotion is good for our work not the negative one. So it’s very necessary for us to cultivate the positive eomotion and apply it to our work. In a word, money is not the most important motivator in working harder instead the emotions do.
