The Kite Runner was written by Khaled Hosseini, an Afghan-American novelist. This work was published in 2013 by Penguin US.

This story was about a boy’s guilty of betraying his friend. The boy, Amir, is the main role of the novel. Hassan was his childhood friend and his Hazara servant. They had a happy time together in Kabul. But because of Amir’s cowardice and hesitation, Hassan was hurt seriously by a bully. Hence his inadmissibility of his own betray, he wanted Hassan and his father left his home. After their leaving, Amir was haunted by the guilty and tried to be a good man again by saving Hassan’s son several years later.
