教学目标：
1. 能够听懂、会说句子：What’s the date? It’s October 1st.
Who has a birthday in October?
2. 能够完成Let’s try部分听录音找图片的练习。
3. 能够完成Group work 中调查同学生日的任务。
4. 能够听懂和理解Story time中的故事。
教学重点：
能够听懂、会说句子：What’s the date? It’s October 1st.
Who has a birthday in October? Me.
教学难点：能熟练运用所学句型提问生日并能正确回答具体日期。
教学准备：
教师准备录音机及录音带。
教师准备日常用的日历本。
教学过程:
Step1. Preparation
1. 教师播放本单元的Chant录音，学生说唱并做动作。
2. Free talk.
T: Which is the first / the second … month?
T: When is your birthday?
T: When is National Day?/ Children’s Day?
T: Is your birthday in …., too?
教师随机指学生回答，并要求回答到具体日期。
Step2. Presentation
1. 教学What’s the date?
1) 教师出示日历本，翻到其中任意一页。
T: Look here. Which month is it?
Ss: It’s May.
教师手指其中黑体的日期数字，自问自答：
Oh, it’s May. What’s the date? It’s March 9th.
教师重复一遍，确保学生明白其含义。
2) 教师翻到另外一页。问：
What’s the date? 学生齐声回答。如此练习多组。
3) 指导学生用日历本作类似的问答练习。
2. 教学Who has a birthday in October?
教师问一名学生：
T: When is your birthday?
S: My birthday is in June.
T: Oh, his birthday is in June. He has a birthday in June. Who has a birthday in June?
帮助学生回答：Me.
教师板书这两个句型：Who has a birthday in June/…?
What’s the date?
教读几遍。
3. 机械操练。
学生同桌根据板书互相问答，进行替换式的练习，力求能够比较准确、流利地说出这些句子。
4. 意义操练。
Pair work.
T: Who has a birthday in October?
班内所有相关的学生起立。
T: （挨个询问）Your birthday is in October. What’s the date?
学生各自回答。
然后教师指导学生小组内进行这样的问答练习。
Step3. Practice
1. Let’s try.
1) 请学生看图先说一说每幅图的日期：
T: What’s the date in Picture 1/2/3/4?
Ss: It’s October 1st. It’s June 2nd.
It’s August 1st. It’s January 8th.
2) 教师播放录音，学生完成听音选图的练习。
3) 让学生复述一下对话。
2. 听音答题。
教师顺接Let’s try中的内容，说： Wang Jianjun has a birthday in October. And who also has a birthday in October? Is Zhang Peng has a birthday in October? What’s the date? What about Sarah?
教师播放Let’s talk录音。学生合上课本，听录音。回答问题。如有必要，录音播放两遍。
3. 听音正音。学生跟录音读对话，模仿语音语调。
4. 合作共建。 学生小组内分角色朗读课文。
5. 表演展示。 学生分角色表演对话。
学生首先以所提供的小图替换对话中的日期做练习。
然后学生用自己的真实姓名和真实生日替换对话并表演。
Step4. Production
Group work
1. 教师展示课文中的调查表，而后与一组学生进行示范，问：“When is your birthday?”，将具体日期记下来。再问另一名学生“What about you? Is your birthday in …, too?”。
2. 学生以小组为单位，模仿教师进行调查并记录结果，完成调查表。
Step5. Progress
1. Story time
1) 教师出示本部分挂图，让学生带着问题听录音，When is Monkey’s birthday? When is Dog’s birthday? When is Zip’s birthday?
2) 再听一遍磁带，进一步理解故事内容及个别难点的词，回答问题：Is Zoom really good to Zoom?
2. 完成基础训练上的相对应的习题。
Homework:
1. 调查父母的生日，并和同伴互相讨论。
2. 读Let’s talk 给家长和同伴听。
